Echuca, with a population of approximately 12,000 people is situated on the mighty Murray River just 210km from melbourne. Echuca shares the border with its NSW twin town, Moama, which has a population of approximately 4,000. Moama is one of the fastest growing towns in NSW. Echuca/Moama is the icon of one of the most vibrant tourist regions, with over $226 million generated by tourism each year.  Decentralisation has played a large part in the population increase of the border towns.
