Profile The economy of the Boonah Shire is essentially rural based but a number of innovative light industries have established in the area principally because of its proximity to Brisbane and the Gold Coast while offering all the benefits of a rural lifestyle. The Boonah Fassifern Guardian has been part of the community since Federation and continues to be an effective and representative voice on local issues, events and initiatives.
